The other day it hit me that it's already been a year since I have graduated from University. As I am sat here reflecting on what an amazing and life-changing experience that was, I couldn't help but feel a little nostalgic. To bring back some of those timeless memories back, I decided to put together a little list of things university taught me.
- Buy everything you can while you still get a student discount.
- You will never use the things you learned in University.
- Procrastination is stronger than any force in the universe.
- It is possible to survive on Instant Noodles for breakfast, lunch AND dinner.
- Pulling an all-nighter is not a skill. It's a way of life.
- Not all academically intelligent people have common sense.
- You can still pass without going to class the entire semester.
- There are days that even your coffee needs coffee.
- There is such a thing as a stupid question.
- A degree is not enough to get you a job.
- You actually paid $50,000+ to have someone read you power point slides. Word for word.
- Google can answer all your questions.
- Sweats are your best friend.
- Never ever turn down free food.
- When in doubt, cite that shit.
- Only math you need to be good at is to calculate what you need on the exam to pass the class.
- People don't go to the library to actually study.
- It doesn't matter how smart you were in high school.
- Some of the best nights: I can't remember. And that is okay.
- Bullshiting on papers is a form of art.
- Your degree is nothing but a title.
