5 WAYS TO SAVE MONEY ON MAKEUP (and clothes).

I am all about saving money and getting a bang for my buck. I am always searching for ways on how I can save money and stretch my dollar even further. I am a sucker for blog posts or videos posted by beauty gurus giving little tips and tricks when purchasing makeup. Over the years, I have developed little tricks that I use to help me save money when purchasing the latest and greatest in the makeup world. I am sure all of you are on the same boat and could definitely use some of these tips! So without further ado, here goes:

Samples from Sephora
Places like Sephora or beauty counters in department stores are often more than happy to give you a small sample to test out before you commit to buying the full size product. I find this particularly beneficial for when I want to purchase a new foundation that is outside of my budget. I will often get samples of a couple of shades so that I can test out the shade in natural lighting. (Going off on a bit of a tangent here, but I find that foundations/concealers always look different inside Sephora or stores in general because of the lighting. This is why I always like to test the products in natural lighting.

RetailMeNot
Love to shop online? Websites like RetailMeNot have coupons for thousands of brands (makeup, clothing you name it) that are available for a limited time. I find this website especially handy around holiday time, where there's many codes for 30-40% off items, or free shipping with a certain value of purchases.

Follow Makeup/ Clothing brands on Instagram
Majority of makeup and clothing brands have official Instagram accounts. They will often post  promotional codes for their followers to use for regular priced items. In the past anytime I have ordered makeup/clothing online, I have been able to find discount codes which can help you save a lot of money!

Loyalty Cards
Get loyalty Cards: Again, places like Sephora has BeatuyInsider loyalty card which allows you to accumulate points and use towards future purchases. You can also receive free samples around the time of your birthday if you are a BeautyInsider member.

Makeup Dupes
"Dupethat" is an account on Instagram that features dupes for some high end brand items. I know there's always this pressure to have every makeup product that is released by some leading makeup brand. However, if you don't have the funds to drop $50 on a highlighter, then you will definitely benefit from this page!

I hope you find these tips useful and I would love to hear some of the ways
in which you save money ?
