MY FAVORITE CONCEALERS: FROM DAY TO NIGHT.

Concealer, Maybelline Age Rewind, NYX HD Concealer
Maybelline- Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser- This particular concealer has become my holy grail product for those early mornings. I love everything about this concealer!

Coverage: While I wouldn't recommend it for a night out, the coverage is perfect for day-time makeup look. It's not a heavy duty concealer, but provides great coverage for dark circles and instantly awakens the under eye area.

Sponge Applicator: This is the main reason why I love this Maybelline concealer. I am way to lazy in the mornings to give a crap about how great my makeup application skills are. So I love that the sponge applicator allows you to quickly cover the dark circles in a couple of strokes. I just sweep it under my eyes and then just use my foundation brush to blend it out. It also fits perfectly under the hard to reach eye area!
Concealer, Maybelline Age Rewind
As advertised on the product, it also contains Goji Berry in the formula. This wasn't one of the selling factors for me, but I did do some research on the Goji Berry after purchasing this concealer. The Goji Berry hails from China and contains anti-oxidants that get rid of free radicals in the skin helping it appear more youthful! Don't we all love products that can make us look more youthful?
Concealer, Maybelline Age Rewind, NYX HD Concealer
NYX HD Photogenic Concealer: I have been using this NYX concealer for a few months now. This is the second time I've purchased it, so that in itself is saying a lot!

Coverage: I love using this concealer for nights out. It provides great coverage and brightens the under eye area. It provides more coverage than the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer and is suitable  for a night time/ heavy glam makeup look. I love that it provides great coverage without looking cakey and super heavy duty.

Applicator: It comes with a standard wand stick with a sponge applicator. I love that the tip of the brush tapers off at the end. It's versatile and handy for those hard to reach areas such as around the nose and the inner part of the eye.
Concealer, NYX HD Concealer
As advertised, it is a HD concealer which won't wash you out in flash photography! If you are looking for a new concealer but don't want to break the bank, then definitely give this a go as it ranges just below $8.00.

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A BLOGGER WHEN...

blogger, pretty, desk, coffee, watch

I've come to realize that since I began blogging, I have been doing certain things that I didn't do before I started Laze Sundaze. And I am positive that some of these things are common amongst all bloggers.

  1. you take your camera everywhere you go
  2. you have a gazillion blog post ideas under notes in your iphone
  3. you don't use makeup until its been photographed for your blog
  4. you spend way too much time brainstorming blog post ideas
  5. you try to find blog inspiration in everything
  6. you keep a blog journal/calendar
  7. you justify spending more money because it's for the blog
  8. you are more open to try new makeup products/things so you can share them on your blog
  9. you find yourself reading blogs when you are bored for hours on end
  10. you are constantly searching for new ways to make your blog page prettier (for lack of a better word)
Wouldn't you agree?

HARD CARDY GREEN EYESHADOW TUTORIAL.

I created this super easy tutorial using the Hard Candy Green Eyeshadow Palette. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this palette. The colors are super pigmented and blend really easily.

I can't remember how much it retails for as I got it a while ago. But I am sure it was under $10 which is a bargain for a palette of shadows. I have found myself getting out of my comfort zone lately and reaching more brighter eyeshadows. So this is one of my attempts at venturing out of my comfort zone! Let me know what you think:)

5 MUST VISIT DESTINATIONS IN THE WORLD.

I wouldn't call myself an experienced traveler, but I have been lucky enough to have visited many beautiful countries over the past few years. I have always been the type who would much rather spend money on experiences rather than materialistic things. The experiences I have gained- whether it be an exchange program in Europe or family trips to other countries- I wouldn't trade it for anything. It is safe to say that I have left my heart in many cities, that I can't wait to go back to. If you ever find yourself searching for your next travel destination, these little gems might just come in handy!

1. Koh Phi Phi- Thailand: This little remote island sits at the top of my list and it is one of the most breathtaking islands I have ever visited. Koh Phi Phi has no cars or anything that runs on motor for that matter. The island is really small so you can walk from one end to the other in about 30 minutes. I loved the little kiosks set up on the streets selling everything from handmade jewelry to "designer" goods . One of my favorite things to do on the island was to go watch the fire shows on the beach at night. I was mesmerized watching the local talents play with fire as if it was nothing! (I may have even done limbo under the fire myself;))

2. Prague- Czech Republic: If there is one place I would choose to spend my winter at, it would have to be Prague. This ancient little town has the most beautiful (and underrated) Christmas markets ever. You feel like you are in some medieval l era with horse-drawn carriages roaming the little streets, famous clock tower and locals in black cloaks. The Prague Castle is a famous landmark in the town, set on a hill overlooking the red roofs of the houses. I would definitely recommend Prague for a winter holiday!

3. Singapore: With less than 24 hour stay in Singapore, I instantly fell in love with the city. As we had a long layover, we decided to check out the main attractions in the city. We ended up spending most of our time by the harbour near Marina Bay Sands. They had a really cool water/lights show in the harbour that's unlike any other I have seen before. Singapore is also home to one of the biggest zoos' in the world. I know there is plenty more to see in this tiny, but amazing, country, so I will be setting foot there again very soon!

4.Gold Coast- Australia: One of my faves in the land down under! I love the vibe of this city. Everyone is chilled out. The local shops are amazing.  A little over priced, in my opinion. Most likely because this is a major tourist city and Australia in general is very expensive. Overall, I loved the beaches here and just roaming around town in shorts and sandals. I mean you can't go to Australia and not visit Gold Coast!

5. Paris- France: Ahhhh, I definitely left my heart in Paris. I loved every minute of being in the City of Love. There is so much to do in the city. I would recommend spending at least a good 4 days there, if you are planning on visiting all the major attractions and some. I can still remember the moment when I saw the Eiffel Tower for the first time. It was so magical! There is so much history packed into one place: from Notre Dame to Palace De Versailles to the famous Avenue des Champs-Elysees. Not to mention the most delicious crepes I have ever had.

What are some of your favorite places in the world?

10 LAST MINUTE (FREE) MOTHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS.

Still haven't found the perfect Mother's Day gift for your mom? Here's a list for those of you that wait till the last minute:

Breakfast in Bed: cook up a classic breakfast in bed and bring it up to her room before she wakes up!

Clean the house/her car: Why not clean the house or her car WITHOUT having been asked to do so. She will totally appreciate this little gesture.

Do laundry: Moms are constantly scrummaging through the house picking up the last bit of laundry. Give her a day off for once. She will feel like a queen. Trust me.

Make her favorite dessert: Make her favorite dessert and spoil her a little.

Spend time outdoors: Take a little walk around your local park or near the beach and just spend some quality time with her.

Handmade Card: Make her a personalized card and write a little message inside.

Night in: DIY Face Mask, movies and popcorn, slide show of old family pictures.

Photo Montage: got piles of family pictures lying around the house? make a montage of family pictures into a giant picture frame.

DIY project: Help her with  a DIY project that she's been planning to do for ages.

How will you spoil your mom this Mother's Day?

L'OREAL TRUE MATCH LUMI FOUNDATION.

Loreal True Match Lumi Foundation
The L'oreal True Lumi foundation has quickly become one of my favorites and has been a life saver since the day I started using it. It retails for approximately $14.99 CAD, an average price for a drugstore foundation.

Packaging: The fact that this foundation comes with a pump is a major plus for me and one of the reasons I had to purchase it. It makes it so much easier to pump product out rather than trying to dump it out. And I happen to make a mess every time I do that with my Mac foundation. The pump also allows you to control how much product you take out, therefore less product is wasted.

A side note: The day I bought the foundation, it fell out of the shopping bag and went tumbling down 20 flights of stairs. And guess what? not a crack in the bottle. So if you are clumsy like me, you need to invest in this foundation.
Color range: The True Match Lumi comes in 9 different shades, which in my opinion is not a lot. Majority of the colors are in the lighter-pale shades which doesn't leave many options for those with darker skin tones. On the flip side, you could always mix two colors?- but that to me seems too much of a hassle.

Consistency: The consistency is perfect in my opinion but some may find it a bit on the runny side. The reason I like my foundation a bit runny is because I feel it helps to blend well into your skin, rather than it just sitting on top of your skin if it's too thick.

Coverage: The coverage is perfect for everyday wear. It covers well enough that you're skin looks even and light enough to let your skin breathe. I probably wouldn't recommend this foundation for a night out as it is geared towards people with dry skin. So, if your skin tends to be on the oily side, this may make it appear more oily.

Overall, I love this foundation. It's perfect for everyday wear, provides good coverage and great for those with dry skin. I would definitely purchase this product again and for under $15 you can't really go wrong.

Have you tried the L'oreal True Match Lumi Foundation?

6 SUPER-FOODS FOR HEALTHY SKIN.

foods for healthy skin, kale, green tea, oyster, glowing skin

We as women gravitate towards anything makeup or skin care related. If we hear about the latest and greatest product on the market that can get rid of dark circles, wrinkles and anything in between, you bet we are on it. But when it comes down to it, those products can only do so much externally. And that's where a healthy diet comes in! I know it's hard to be healthy ALL the time, but we can make little changes every day starting with what we eat in order to help you get to your ideal, healthy skin! So why not integrate these simple foods into your diet?

Kale- has nutrients that help neutralize and absorb free radicals which are created by UV lights. Add one cup of Kale to your diet and you've got over 130% of your daily value of Vitamin A and C- which helps with skin- firming.

Green Tea- One of my favorites! The antioxidants found in Green Tea help boost oxygen and blood flow to the skin, making your skin look for supple and radiant. Get that green tea brewing ladies!

Oysters- Perfect for seafood lovers! Oysters are high in dietary zinc which helps with the proper growth and function of skin cells.

Walnuts- great if you suffer from dry skin. Walnuts are rich in Omega- 3 fatty acids which are particularly great for people with eczema! Also, provides nutrition for those of you who are vegetarian and don't eat foods that are high in Omega 3.

Sunflower seeds- High in Vitamin E which helps get rid of those pesky pimples that seem to never go away. Vitamin E boosts your immune system and increases the body's ability to fight inflammation that results in acne.

Dark Chocolate-  Rich in cocoa containing antioxidant properties which get rid of skin roughness. Dark chocolate helps hydrate skin and improve blood circulation. I mean who can say no to chocolate especially when it's GOOD for you!

Do you have any of these super-foods in your current diet?

L'OREAL VOLUMINOUS CARBON BLACK MASCARA.

Mascara, Loreal, Carbon, L'oreal
I am currently loving the L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara. If you remember, I mentioned it in my Recent Buys Post here. This mascara has quickly become one of my most favorite mascaras to use.

Packaging: I know the packaging has nothing to do with the product, but I think it's important to mention as it is one of the reasons that attracts you to the product. I love the gold writing against the matte black.
Mascara, Loreal, Carbon, L'oreal

Mascara, Loreal, Carbon, L'oreal

Mascara, Loreal, Carbon, L'oreal
Brush: Mascaras usually specializes in either Volume or length there are very few that provide both length and volume to the lashes. This one takes the cake for both. The bristles are short and dense, so they really help separate your lashes and evenly distribute the product. I also love that the wand is very sturdy which provides more control and doesn't spread the mascara everywhere!

Consistency: This mascara has THE best consistency I have come across. It's just perfect: not too runny, not too dry. Although,  after a few uses, I feel like this mascara may dry out quickly. But I can't be certain, so I will have to report back on that as I get more uses out of this amaze balls product!

What mascara are you currently loving?

MAY WISHLIST: SELF GROWTH.

Since I've started blogging, I noticed that monthly wishlists are quite popular amongst bloggers. We are all a little nosy and love to pop over and see what people are dying to add to their collections. I did my first wishlist last month.

For this month, I wanted to do something a little bit different. Rather than make a list of all the materialistic items that I want oh so badly, I thought I would focus a bit more on some intangible items for my May Wishlist. So here goes!

1. Try to see the positive in every negative situation: I know we tend to focus on all the things that could possible go wrong in our daily life. It all comes down to just shifting your perspective and looking at any given situation through a different lens. So my goal for this month is to constantly remind myself that no matter what the circumstance, there is always a learning opportunity in every situation.

2. Reach 200 views on my blog/youtube every day: Setting short-term goals in order to achieve your long term goals is an important part of getting to your planned destination. Short term goals  help you stay focused and it's a great way to gauge your performance. If your short term goals are not aligned with what you want to achieve, then by alternating the little goals you can eventually set yourself up for bigger success. My goal for my blog/youtube is to reach at least 200 blog views and youtube views each day for the month of May!

3. Do one thing daily that makes me happy: Whether its going for a long walk while jamming out to my favorite playlist, watching my favorite youtubers or just being down right lazy, I am going to do one thing every day that makes my heart smile.

4. Wake up 15 minutes earlier than my normal wake up time: We've all heard it countless times. Your mornings can affect your entire day. If you wake up late, you are often rushing out the door to make it to work on time, forgetting to eat breakfast and the like. This will set a bad mood for the rest of your day. So why not wake up 15 minutes earlier than your usual time to give yourself a relaxing morning so that you can carry that good/ positive feeling throughout your day. My goal for this month is to wake up 15 minutes earlier so that I can sit down and actually enjoy my coffee.

5. Meet up with an old friend: We often get so busy making a living that we forget to actually live. So why not meet up with an old friend whom you shared some of the best memories with and have strayed away from. Make that phone call to meet up for coffee and just catch up on life. My goal is to meet up with one old friend this month.

There you have it. That is what's on my wishlist for May! What's even better about this type of wishlist is that, one it doesn't cost ANYTHING. Two, you know that all of the items are fully attainable and it's in your hands to make them happen. I urge other bloggers to also shift their focus a little bit. Why not add a few items of personal growth on our monthly wishlists. So, who's with me ladies?

What's on your May Wishlist?
