7 MUST HAVES IN YOUR CAR.

Here's the reason behind this post: the other day I was driving to work and it was SO sunny that I couldn't even see. You know, when it's rained the night before and the roads are still wet so the sun is literally reflecting off of the road and blinding you. I was cussing myself for not having sunglasses in my car. So you can avoid being in the same situation, I came up with a quick list of car essentials (You can thank me later).

Sunglasses: For safety reasons, so you don't get blinded by the sun like I did. Or when you are having a no makeup day, just throw on your sun glasses and the cute guy next to you at the red light won't even know you look like a zombie!

Kleenex: If the slightest dust particle in the air causes you to have a sneezing fit, these will be your holy grail.

Hand Sanitizer: always a good idea to have in your car. Comes in handy if you are sick or find yourself eating on the go.

Lip Balm: to keep them lips moisturized.

Water Bottle: You never know when you might find yourself stuck in unexpected traffic. A water bottle is always a good idea to keep yourself hydrated.

Body Mist: Don't tell me you have never had Mcdonald's on the go, while running late for a study session (I must add). Your study buddies won't even know you devoured an entire burger in the span of 30 seconds.

Chewing Gum: For fresh breath right before an important meeting or an interview.

Auxiliary Cord: Because who doesn't want to jam out their favorite playlists?

What are some of your must haves in the car?

HOW I SPEED UP MY BLOG WRITING PROCESS.

Lately, I have been whizzing through the blogpost writing process. It isn't to say that I don't put any thought or effort into my blog posts, but rather have found myself on a time crunch. As a result, I have managed to refine a few skills in the process while also putting out a quality blog post that is worth reading.

Add pictures first: I find that that by adding pictures to the blog post before I begin writing helps get the creative juices flowing. It helps me envision how the end product will look, therefore giving me a sense of accomplishment. This in turn helps me to be more creative in my writing process.

Write bullet points: This is a great way to outline how you want the post to flow and what the main pieces of your blog post will be. This makes it easier to write because now you have an idea of what sub topics you want to elaborate more on.

Set the mood: Writing is something that comes more naturally when the mood is set just right. In order for me to feel inspired and in the zone, I always like to make sure that I have a hot cup of tea or something to snack on. This, not only helps relax you, but also eliminates any distractions as you are writing. You can even play your favorite playlist if that helps you feel more creative!

Don't edit as you write: As I sit here writing, I am not paying attention to any spelling errors or spacing etc. I am simply writing and letting the words flow. When you get stuck up on perfecting as you go along, it will be very difficult to stay creative. You have to keep switching between the creative and the technical aspect. So for those of you that are perfectionists (including myself), just allow yourself to write and leave the nitty gritty stuff till after you've got the body of your post down.

Put your phone on silent: Distractions are EVERYWHERE. Sometimes, I write half of a post and then feel the need to check my social media and emails. This ends up wasting so much time because then you have to mentally take yourself to the point where you stopped and get back into the groove. So now I just put my phone on airplane mode to get rid of any unnecessary distractions.

Don't force yourself to write: Especially for those who wants to put out quality content daily, this can be difficult. It's better to put out a post that you feel completely confident with rather than just posting something for the sake of doing it. Not only will this take away from your credibility but also just create junk in your feed with something that you are not completely happy with.

What helps you during the blog writing process?
